My 12 Year Old singing One And Only

This is my 12 year old girl singing Adele's One and Only. Sorry the picture quality is low my husband recorded this in email format on accident on Saturday evening, but we decided to still share. She has been a singing machine since she was young. Our close friends still talk about Lorna when she was younger and in the car with them she was belting out songs in the back seat. No matter what was on the radio, some how my daughter seemed to know every word. To this day she hasn't stopped singing, our whole house radiates with her voice sometimes, I just love her! She has gone through a lot of controversy at school with certain kids being so mean it had brought me to tears, no one deserved the comments these 6th graders sent to my you tube account. But Lorna persevered   and convinced her Dad to help her make another video this last weekend and he did. As much as this Mother would have preferred to shelter her so I didn't have to have kids send any comments, I won't go into detail only because the comments where much worse then anything as an adult I could have thought to say to another human! I just love this girl and think she is amazing in so many ways!
Xoxo Serena

  1. Dear Serena, your daughter is so talented. It must be so tiresome for you as a family to deal with all these mean kids.
Please tell Lorna she rocks and not to give up on something she loves just because of a bunch of kids have nothing better to do!
Lorna has chosen a very apt song, Adele herself is so inspiring. I love her, she totally awes me.
Power to girls who rise above all challenges!

  3. She is amazing! You must be very proud of her. Poor thing that she got lots of those comments due to jealousy. I hope that I can learn and recover from this bad incident.

  8. Your daughter has a gift! I applaud her for ignoring the ugliness from the kids. She should always follow her passion and her heart.
My son is fifteen and it's an ongoing problem with mean teens that constantly seem to desire chaos and turmoil. Our children are dealing with peer pressure and cruelty in a way we never experienced as children. You're a good mom. :)
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
