A Fantastic Monday And An Update On L.J.

L.J. passed the stress test with flying colors! Thank you for all the love and support during this scary time! This picture was actually taken after he did all the work!(Please ignore my child's mop head. He's had this idea he needs to grow his hair out. You know like Justin Beiber...It's been driving his father nuts, I think a hair cuts been a daily discussion.)

Yes, he's a ham! I sure do love him though!
Then we came home and celebrated Mas's Birthday with a present of course and Dad cooked him ribs on the BBQ per his request!
Then we headed out front and the kids took a spin around on their pocket rocket. It had been sitting around for 3 years waiting for the hubby to tune down the throttle so the boys wouldn't go flying by at 30 miles an hour. Truth be told I was hoping it would stay forgotten in the garage for another 10 years, but no such luck!
I was surprised how natural it was for the boys to hop on it and go! They really didn't have any control issues and didn't even open it up all the way! Huge relief for this Mom!
The Birthday boy about to take off on his bike! What a fabulous day it was! I truly feel blessed!

  3. A BIG Happy Birthday to Mas! I'm so happy for L.J.'s good news! His hair is fine. :) I went through the same with Kyle and now he's fifteen and always wants his hair short. :) They usually grow out of it. You are blessed! Have a beautiful week!!!

    Happy birthday to Mas :)

Hair cuts have been a constant Dad and sons tug of war in our house for the past 3 years almost. Dad always wins out at the end....for now.

I have nominated you for the FoodStories Award for Excellence in Storytelling :D

  10. Hi, I just found our blog. Looks like you have some great recipes! I am into outdoor cooking, barbecue, smoking and grilling, mostly, but I do love baking bread. I make a mean pot of chili and Gumbo, too. I love trying my hand at new recipes. On top of cooking I do some woodworking. I built and outdoor kitchen that is my favorite room in (out of) the house, LOL. Please come over. I'm your newest follower and I would be honored to have you follow me, too. Steve :)
