Top Recipes Of 2012

Drum roll please...
The top post of the year was Fully Loaded Baked Potato Soup
Was it possible the recipe wouldn't become an internet sensation? I think not!
Bacon, cheese, chives, greek yogurt and we must not forget the thing that set's this recipe apart the crispy potato skins on top!
Fantastic pick!
This recipe was also featured at the Tasty Kitchen Blog by What's Gaby Cooking! Her exact review of the soup was I’m so jazzed to be back and I’m kicking things off with basically the most amazing soup to ever come into existence. Swoon!
Yes she swooned over my Fully Loaded Baked Potato Soup and if you haven't tried it you will swoon too!
Another favorite pick of anyone we feed it too! Pure deliciousness!
This dish makes for a very happy Hubby!
A wonderful fusion of my favorite flavors!
Slurp!
Who couldn't use a soft, garlicky, cheesy breadstick to go with the other 2 top post's of the year?
These are a common dinner addition in our house!
Super de duper on the tasty scale!
All I can say is you all have good taste!
This chili is healthy and heavenly!
Is this possible?
Yep, it is!
Another favorite chili! I can't wait to have a chili party as football season comes to a close!
I promise this chili will not disappoint!
 Delectable!
This post was written in the first few months of blogging but has been so much more popular then I could have ever imagined! It has had great reviews!
The pictures might not be the greatest but the recipe deserves to be in the top 10!
I always new there was a reason we were friends! It's because you all have fabulous taste buds!
This is a must for any party, family game night, movie night, Super Bowl Party, or any other reason to make this!
Best part is it's a fairly healthy snack with 4 tablespoons of butter in a huge bowl!
Finger licking good!
It's about time a dessert showed up on the list and I couldn't have chosen a better one myself!
Fresh pineapple with caramelly goodness!
Oh and I almost forgot the crunchy edge!
Divine!
Caramelly, oatmeally, goodness! Topped with a layer of chocolate and pecans!
Come to Mom-ma!
Defiantly a favorite in our house!

I would like to take a minute and thank everyone who takes the time to read the blog, leave me the wonderful comments and are so very supportive!
I couldn't have a better set of friends, even if I don't even know what you look like!
I look forward to sharing a fabulous New Year with each and everyone of you!
XOXO Serena

Cioppino-Italian-Fishermans-Stew.jpg
Cioppino has always been a family favorite and a tradition for special occasions!
With Christmas time always being so cold in the Pacific Northwest what a better way to celebrate the holiday's then a delicious bowl of Cioppino or Italian Fisherman's Stew.
The best part of Cioppino is it's done in under an hour so there's not too much slaving over a hot stove and it's quite a treat with many different seafood options!
This soup is guaranteed to win the hearts of any seafood lovers!

Merry Christmas And Happy Holidays!

Did you notice in our family Christmas photo how our youngest is squinting? He was trying to look at what his brother was doing while we were trying to take the picture!Such a ham the whole time we were trying to take a photo! He provided plenty of laughs at one point he tried to add bunny ears to his brother, a bit of a trouble maker too!
I would like to take a minute and wish everyone the most Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I have felt so blessed this last year from all of the wonderful friends I have made through the blog! You all warm my heart and bring me joy even during the toughest of times. Your support and kind words brings me such joy and I can only hope I am able to return the favor.
No matter what you celebrate or don't I would like to wish you a Very Merry Christmas Or Holiday if you prefer and a Happy New Year!
XOXO Serena

Homemade Crusty Hamburger Buns

Homemade-Crusty-Hamburger-Buns.jpg
These are the hamburger buns you've been waiting for.
Since the Easy Crock-Pot Pulled Chicken with Homemade BBQ Sauce I've had a lot of request for these bad boys!
Crusty deliciousness with a soft and chewy center.
I used my favorite roll recipe with some adjustments to produce a hamburger bun like I've been buying at the bakery. There's just something about a crusty rustic hamburger bun plus I know every last ingredient that is in these!
The family actually voted these better then the bakery and that is saying a lot!
If you need a few easy recipes to top your buns with check out Sloppy Joes, Easy Crock-Pot Pulled Chicken With Homemade BBQ Sauce and Slow Cooked Pulled Pork!

Easy Crock-pot Pulled Chicken With Homemade BBQ Sauce

Easy-Crock-pot-Pulled-Chicken-With-Homemade-BBQ-Sauce.jpg
My dryer broke the week of Thanksgiving, do you know what it is like to have a family of five and have to hang wet clothes in the middle of winter? I sure didn't until the dryer broke. My house had clothes hanging all over the place to dry! It was a real life experience and since my favorite home improvement store was having a sale we waited almost a week and a half for the new dryer to arrive! I can't believe I survived!
I had mountains of clothes sky high, I'm surprised the laundry hadn't eaten me!
The day the dryer  arrived I needed to whip up something easy to make, that I wouldn't need to babysit. I also couldn't go to the store because the delivery guys gave me a 4 hour window to arrive and you know what that means, it could be another 2 hours past that! I had chicken breast and ketchup so Easy Crock-pot Pulled Chicken Sandwiches it was! This girl had the most dreaded job to do and I didn't have much time to worry about dinner!
The kids were licking their plates and fighting for leftovers! You would think I hadn't fed them in a week!
The part they hated the most was waiting for me to get a picture so we could eat! I make the kids wait to eat until everyone has been seated on most nights. I am sure some day when they grow up we will all be sitting around the Christmas table and I'll hear remember how Mom use to never let us eat anything until she took a photo!
Bwahaha!

I love that I can make these ahead and leave them in the refrigerator and pop them in the oven later that day or the next.

Oatmeal Turtle Bars

Oatmeal-Turtle-Bars.jpg
It's the most wonderful time of the year! I love everything about the holidays. 25 days of Christmas movies on T.V. i.e. A Charlie Brown Christmas, enjoying all the wonderful houses decorated with lights, all the goodies to share at work and with the neighbors and don't forget the reason for the season!
I thought I would kick off the month with Oatmeal Turtle Bars. Chewy oatmeal crust topped with gooey caramel, nuts and then a layer of chocolate! Heavenly I proclaim! Heavenly!
Now please step away from the screen to avoid being caught licking it, your family members might think you've finally lost it! No go head to the nearest kitchen to get your Oatmeal Turtle Bars baking!
