Sausage and Kale Lasagna Soup

An easy twist on classic lasagna and very easy to make. Sausage Kale and Lasagna Soup will quickly become a family favorite.

Sausage Kale and Lasagna Soup
The weather turned nasty and cold this last week calling for boots, scarfs, hot coffee and soup.
I love this time of year for those reasons and the gorgeous colors of Autumn.
This is definitely one of my favorite soups because it's two of my favorite things in one.
Plus it has Sausage and Kale and the Kale makes it healthy, right? Right!
Plus L.J. devoured it without a complaint and the kid hates Lasagna for no other reason but the cheese but the soup makes it super easy to skip the cheese if it's not your thing!
When you have kids these simple options can be really important for your sanity and well being.
This makes a lot of soup but would be great frozen into single servings if you don't happen to have your own personal basketball team like us.
No matter how much food I make I'm lucky to have some form of leftovers the next day!
Maybe I'm weird but I love really good leftovers..
Anywho on to the recipe...

Snickers Starbucks Iced Coffee Brewed To Personalize

This post is sponsored by Yummly and Starbucks. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Coffee's a morning time staple in our house and with Starbucks Iced Coffee Brewed To Personalize I now can have an Iced Coffee in under 3 minutes on busy mornings.
One of my favorite drinks is a Snickers Starbucks Iced Coffee.
I can never pass on chocolate, caramel and Starbucks.
Oh and don't forget the whip cream smothered in caramel.
I just love how easy and convenient Starbucks Iced Coffee- Brewed To Personalize is.
Here's how I make my favorite drink:
In a small saucepan heat 1/2 cup Milk, 2 tablespoons Chocolate Chips and 3 tablespoons Caramel Sauce over medium heat until chocolate is melted.
Remove from heat and stir in 1 1/4 cups Starbucks Ice Coffee -Brewed To Personalize.
I like my coffee sweet and creamy, feel to adjust amount of coffee to your personal taste.
Fill a large cup 1/3 of the way full with ice.
Pour coffee mixture over the ice.
Cover with whip cream and additional caramel sauce.
This recipe can easily be doubled to share.
What's your favorite way to enjoy Iced Coffee?

Balsamic Pork Pot Roast

Tender, juicy Balsamic Pork Pot Roast is full of flavor and a great use for a cheap cut of meat.

Tender Balsamic Pork Pot Roast

Since it's almost the first day of fall and I've been craving comfort foods I thought it was about time we make one of my favorites.
Balsamic Pork Pot Roast is so tender and flavorful the meat just falls apart.
Just like the beloved Beef Pot Roast but possibly a little better, the jury is still out on that but oh man is it good!
It's the perfect use for a cheap cut of pork like Pork Shoulder or Boston Butt.
I had purchased a whole Pork Shoulder awhile back because the price was right and only needed half to make Slow Cooked Bourbon Peach BBQ Pulled Pork.
I've patiently been waiting for the weather to cool to make this for you and I strongly suggest some Cloverleaf Dinner Rolls or French Bread Dinner Rolls for sopping up the gravy..
It was so good the family was fighting over leftovers to bring to school and work.
In the process they forgot about Mom and took all the gravy..
The story of motherhood.
The next time I'll make sure to hide some leftovers down in the back of the veggie draw, no one will ever think to look there!
Here's how to make this lusciously moist, flavorful Balsamic Pork Pot Roast:

Cloverleaf Dinner Rolls

Cloverleaf Dinner Rolls are slightly sweet, soft and fluffy.

Cloverleaf Dinner Rolls
Homemade bread was always a staple in my house growing up and Cloverleaf Dinner Rolls happened to be the first style of rolls I learned to make and still one of my favorites.
I find such comfort in a good roll and love having lots of different options dependent on my mood.
Cloverleaf Rolls are so easy to shape and I love breaking them into pieces for easy buttering or dipping into gravy.
These rolls are slightly sweet, soft and fluffy, perfect to go with soups, stews or your holiday meal.
The kids love to devour the leftovers for breakfast with a little jam or honey.
I always use my mixer to knead the dough but the kneading could be done by hand if a mixer with a dough attachment isn't available until the dough is smooth and elastic.
A few of my other favorite roll recipes are French Bread Dinner Rolls for when I'm in the mood for something crusty and Hawaiian Dinner Rolls when I'm craving pineapple sweet rolls from the grocery store.

Agave Peach Moscow Mule Mocktails

This post is sponsored by Madhava Sweeteners. Although this is a sponsored post all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Agave Peach Moscow Mule Mocktail

Our kids love to help in the kitchen and right now Madhava's is hosting a kids sweet in the kitchen contest.
If your sweetie loves sweets as much as mine all you have to do is snap a photo of your child or one you know holding a Madhava product or eating a sweet treat and submit it Here.
We had fun in the kitchen the other night making Agave Peach Moscow Mule Mocktails as an extra special treat.
In case you've never heard of a Mocktail before it's an alcohol free version of a cocktail, perfect for baby showers, family gatherings or just a special treat.
The Agave Ginger Peach combo makes these a fall favorite but perfect year around with the sweetness of the peaches and the spice of ginger.

Crock Pot Hot Fudge Cake

A sweet and chocolaty cake with a hot fudge sauce made in the crock pot.

Crock Pot Hot Fudge Cake

Colt and I celebrated 15 years of marriage last week and we decide to have a simple evening in.
We usually go out someplace and make a big night of our anniversary or weekend but this year we spent the actual night at home eating dinner and dessert with the kids and then snuggled on the couch to watch Thursday night football.
After 15 years and 3 kids we've gotten to the point that it doesn't matter what we do so much as we are spending time together and having fun.
Plus we had the previous weekend alone.
When you have kids having the house to yourself for a night or two is like a dream come true!
And since we were celebrating we had to have dessert, otherwise it's not really a celebration.
So I decided to make a Crock Pot Hot Fudge Cake with Lorna's help since I was having a massive chocolate craving and it's super simple to put together.
It's a sweet chocolaty cake that floats to the top over a layer of fudgy sauce.
It definitely requires a scoop of ice cream to round out the richness and it's great for company since it's made ahead of time and requires very little supervision.

Cheddar Bacon Corn and Potato Chowder

A favorite fall chowder loaded with cheddar cheese, bacon, corn and potatoes. A very hearty and filling soup.

Cheddar Bacon Corn and Potato Chowder

I've been waiting for a cool day to make this soup for weeks now.
It's been on the I need make recipes for the blog list but it's just been too hot and the weather's been far too nice to heat up the house so the corn kept going out to the grill and I've been waiting for a drop in temperature.
This barely ever happens in Washington just for the record, we almost always have a few cool days even in August.
So yesterday the temperature all of a sudden dropped to the mid 60's from the mid 80's the day before   and I knew my craving for Cheddar Bacon Corn and Potato Chowder was going to be fixed.
I instantly felt the need for all things soups, stew, apples, pumpkin, sweaters and boots, it hit me like a ton of bricks.
I don't know if it's my bodies way of preparing me for the next few months of rain and gloom or it's just some crazy subliminal thing that happens.
This soup has everything that makes me love the fall with it's cheddary, velvety texture, smokey baconliciousness (I know it's not a word, spell checks yelling at me this very moment but I like the sound baconliciousness), tons of locally grown fresh corn and creamy potatoes.
It's everything in a bowl of chowder I need!

Blackberry Coffeecake Crumb Muffins

Blackberry Coffeecake Crumb Muffins With LAND O LAKES
I am in love with LAND O LAKES® Butter with Canola Oil.
It paired perfectly with these Blackberry Coffeecake Crumb Muffins, and I love how it's made with only 3 simple ingredients: sweet cream, canola oil and salt.
How simple is that!
Plus, it's a must when we go camping because it stores so well in it's plastic tub and comes out perfectly spreadable every time - even after days on ice.
There's nothing worse than leaving a stick of butter on the counter, only to find it's melted all over the place. LAND O LAKES® Butter with Canola Oil solves that issue, as it stays soft and spreadable directly out of the fridge!
Make sure to check out the recipe for Blackberry Coffeecake Crumb Muffins and leave a blog comment telling me: what you look forward to most in the fall to be entered to win $100 Visa® Gift Card!

Zucchini Bread With Brown Sugar Crumb

Zucchini Bread with Brown Sugar Crumb

One of my favorite things about this time of year is the endless amounts of Zucchini growing in the garden.

It gives me the perfect excuse to make countless amounts of Zucchini Bread, and I usually freeze excess zucchini shredded in pre-measured bags to make Zucchini Bread all winter long.

Zucchini Bread with Brown Sugar Crumb will quickly become your go to Zucchini Bread recipe.

L.J. thought I was crazy when I told him I was making zucchini bread, he even declared there was no way he was trying it, until he accidentally cut a slice thinking it was banana bread, and realized what he was missing out on.

I made this recipe to make two loafs, because let's be honest ones never enough. Sometimes I'll hide the second loaf of bread in the freezer to enjoy later if it happens to last that long.
