Easy Salmon Potatoes and Green Beans In Parchment is a quick easy dinner in under 30 minutes! serenabakessimplyfromscratch.com
Easy Salmon Potatoes and Green Beans in parchment is a favorite dinner for those nights where I just don't have time in the kitchen.

We found this recipe works well with either green beans or asparagus and is easy to prepare in under 5 minutes. Perfect for busy nights in our house filled with basketball practices, homework and holiday activities or a healthy delicious lunch.

Easy Salmon Potatoes and Green Beans is elegant enough for last minute company for the holidays or an easy date night in and healthy but quick enough for any night of the week. Dinner is served in a packet resembling a present for a delicious surprise when unfolded.

The layers of salmon, potatoes, and green beans combine juices while baking for an amazing aromatic package of flavor.

I enjoy giving an option of green beans or asparagus to ensure even the pickiest eater enjoys every morsel of their meal.

Holiday Gift Basket Ideas with fun ideas for teenagers, men or women including a DIY Lavender Rosemary Mineral Bath and Homemade Cinnamon Candle. serenabakessimplyfromscratch.com
Sometimes it's hard to know what to get someone for the holidays but I always find gift baskets an easy versatile gift that can be individualized for any one.
Holiday Gift Baskets are always fun to receive and give whether it's for Mom, a best friend, coworker or neighbor I think everyone loves a basket filled with goodies!
Holiday Gift Baskets are easy to adapt for teenagers, men, and women.
I made this basket with a women in mind however men will enjoy the GODIVA Chocolate Gift Box and DIY Lavender Rosemary Mineral Bath for achy muscles as much as anyone else.
The DIY Cinnamon Wrapped Candle can be swapped out with a grooming kit or old fashioned shave kit for something a little more masculine.
For teenage girls you might add lip gloss, a set of knee high socks or an eye mask.
I also always include a Christmas Ornament when I give a gift at the holidays!
This year we are doing wooden chalk gift tags that double as an ornament or can be reused later.
I always love receiving ornaments and think it's so nostalgic as I remember each year where they came from and the story behind them.

Cranberry Orange Coffee Cake

Saturday, November 21, 2015
Cranberry Orange Coffee Cake with Brown Sugar Crumb is a favorite fall dessert. This Cranberry Cake recipe is a favorite for Thanksgiving and Christmas! It's also great for brunch from Serena Bakes Simply From Scratch.

I surprised Colt and the kids with this Cranberry Orange Coffeecake With Brown Sugar Crumb the other day to let them know just how thankful I am for them.

It's a favorite Fall dessert recipe and Cranberry Cake recipe for Christmas morning.

Colt even brought a few slices into work to share.

It happens to be a favorite in our house with the lightly sweetened airy spiced cake filled with little bites of bursting cranberries, flecks of orange zest and plenty of crunchy brown sugar crumb for the perfect balance of holiday flavor.

The last few years I have really tried to remember to be thankful everyday for my family, our health, a warm house and a roof over our head.

I am so thankful to have spent so much of my childhood with my Grandparents learning what life was like before cars and televisions.

Growing up Granny had shared pictures of her family's horse and buggy they used to transport produce to the market. It was always a great reminder to be thankful for modern day transportation.

Life can become so busy it's easy to forget how lucky we are to have clean running water and Internet.

I don't think life is ever easy, but I think when you take time to give thanks it makes what you have in your life so much more fulfilling.

For me I am Thankful to have had a day where I could make this Cranberry Orange Coffeecake and a husband who spends his lunch hour with me on the phone.

I'm thankful for each of my kids because they each teach me something new everyday.

I love how unique they are!

I am Thankful for each day I have and to be able to share the recipe for this delectable cake with you.

What are you thankful for this holiday season?

I am definitely thankful to share how to make this Cranberry Orange Coffee Cake with you.

How To Clean A Stained Stainless Steel Coffee Pot

How to Clean a Stained Stainless Steel Coffee Pot without a lot of elbow grease! serenabakessimplyfromscratch.com

I'm almost ashamed to admit just how bad the stain on the inside of our Stainless Steel Coffee Pot had become but I'm sure some of you have run into the same dilemma and wondered how to clean a stained stainless steel coffee pot.

The coffee oils have slowly cooked into a thick layer of build up that is seemingly impossible to removed no matter how much elbow grease you apply.

Even the regular run through the dishwasher didn't touch it.

But never fear my friends I'm sharing another one of my all time favorite Cleaning 101 tips: How To Clean A Stainless Steel Coffee Pot.

Best part is it takes very little effort and you should have both ingredients readily available.

With the holidays here I figure it's perfect time to clean the coffee pot before company arrives but easy enough to do once a week so you'll never encounter the embarrassment of a stained coffee pot again.

Caramel Chocolate Cranberry Treasure Cookies

Tuesday, November 17, 2015
Caramel Chocolate Cranberry Treasure Cookies are a Christmas time favorite! Soft, chewy and delicious with graham cracker crumbs, coconut, dark chocolate, and dried cranberries from Serena Bakes Simply From Scratch.

I made a batch of these Caramel Chocolate Cranberry Treasure Cookies to sneak into Masons lunch as a special surprise since he left for 4 days of outdoor school!

Caramel Chocolate Treasure Cookies are the perfect cookie to add to your Christmas cookie trays, holiday cookie exchanges or package for Christmas presents! They also happen to be a favorite eggless cookie.

This recipe is made using Caramel Sweetened Condensed Milk based on our family's favorite Treasure Cookie recipe the neighbor shared with me years ago for the holidays but taken to a whole new level using caramel sweetened condensed milk, dark chocolate chips,  and dried cranberries.

It's a soft chewy cookie filled with graham cracker crumbs and unsweetened coconut. Then loaded with dark chocolate and dried cranberries for a nice contrast to the caramelly sweet cookie base.

I know you might question the sweet caramel cookie with cranberries but trust me if you like caramel and dried cranberries you will love these!

Caramel Chocolate Cranberry Treasure Cookies make a wonderful addition for your Christmas cookie trays or an extra special treat for Santa!

Potato Dinner Rolls Recipe

Monday, November 9, 2015
Potato Rolls are one of my all time favorite rolls. They are a little sweet, super soft and buttery. The mashed potatoes in the rolls makes them so light and pillowy. Potato Dinner Rolls are so easy to make and so forgiving even if you don't have much experience with bread making.

Potato Rolls are one of favorite roll recipe along with French Rolls. We love them to go along side the Roasted Turkey at Thanksgiving for sopping up the gravy, a must to go along with Beef Tenderloin at Christmas, but easy enough to go with Dinner during the week.

A side shot of a Potato Roll on a wooden board with a pile of Potato Dinner Rolls in the background.

I use to make these Potato Rolls recipe all the time but I forgot just how amazing they are.

The recipe is so old the paper I wrote it on is yellowed and starting to fall apart. I can't remember where the original recipe came from or just how many changes I may or may not have made since I failed to notate it in my notes but these rolls are too good not to share and perfect for your Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday dinner table.

We love dipping these rolls in gravy or soup, slathering them in butter and you can never go wrong with a little homemade jelly. Leftover Thanksgiving Dinner Sliders are also delicious made on these rolls. Potato Dinner Rolls are light, soft and fluffy just like the lunch lady use to serve back in the day.

I know you'll love these Potato Rolls as much as we do!
