Extra Crispy Fried Chicken

Extra Crispy Fried Chicken recipe is brined in seasoned buttermilk and coated with a flavorful extra crispy coating to keep the meat juicy with an extra crispy outside from Serena Bakes Simply From Scratch.

This month I'm sharing my secret to Extra Crispy Fried Chicken plus a few of my blogger friends are sharing 7 of their favorite chicken recipes to help make meal planning a little bit easier.

The minute Colt heard about the challenge he reminded me I was long overdue to share my secret to Extra Crispy Fried Chicken.

It just happens to be one of the most requested dinners in our house between Colt and the kids. It's right up there with Beef Stroganoff Recipe. They are obviously all about the comfort food.

I'm pretty sure if I would let them they would live on it, and devour the leftovers cold the next day for lunch!  It's also a favorite to take cold to the park along with Dill Potato Salad or this Fully Loaded Potato Salad for a picnic on a hot summers day.

Colt also made Creamy Macaroni and Cheese to go with our Extra Crispy Fried Chicken, since the kids had asked just about everyday for 2 weeks if one of us would make it. But my favorite is Ultimate Macaroni and Cheese if time allows.

I don't think comfort food gets more comforting Fried Chicken from scratch.

Here's how I make Extra Crispy Fried Chicken.

Spinach Apple Bacon Salad With Honey Mustard Dressing

Wednesday, March 2, 2016
Spinach Salad with Bacon and Fuji Apples covered with homemade Honey Mustard Dressing is a delicious easy to make salad recipe.

Spinach Salad with bacon, fuji apples and a homemade honey mustard dressing. The flavor combination is delicious from Serena Bakes Simply From Scratch.

I promised you this Fuji Apple Spinach Bacon Salad With a creamy homemade Honey Mustard dressing last week when I shared my recipe for Honey Mustard Chicken, since they go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly, you can't have one without the other!

It's really an easy dinner to make and I strongly suggest making both since they pair perfectly together!

The smokiness of the bacon makes a perfect addition to the sweet fuji apples and honey mustard vinaigrette; the perfect disguise to sneak raw spinach into my boys!

We all know everything is better with bacon.

You could leave the mushrooms out of this salad if they aren't your thing but they are well disguised between the smokey bacon, apples, and vinaigrette.

I skipped adding cheese in this recipe to keep it simple, but gorgonzola would make a nice addition if your looking for something a bit richer. It's really not missing it though, and has plenty of flavors to leave you satisfied.

Fuji Apple Spinach Bacon Salad With Creamy Honey Mustard Vinaigrette makes a fun side or light lunch, and is perfect to bring to your next BBQ or Potluck!

Here's how I make our this delicious Spinach Salad Recipe:
