Buddy The Beagle
Thank you to Humankind for sponsoring this post. All thoughts, and opinions are my own.

Summer's coming to a close, and with that Buddy our beagle has been moping around the house. He already misses following Logan around all day, and laying across his lap. They really are best friends. Buddy has been waiting patiently at the door for LJ to come home from school each afternoon.

Apparently, I'm just not as exciting as his best friend, but we seem to make due while the kids are gone. He's like one of the kids, so I had to find a way to perk him up in the morning after LJ leaves.

Humankind Food For Pets.
Luckily, I had a bag of Humankind food for dogs waiting to be tried. So one morning I opened it up, and he became instantly excited by the smell. His mood changed which usually only happens when we give him human treats. It smells very similar to dehydrated soup when you open the package.

It's also made feeding the dogs easier because both dogs are no longer leaving food in the bowl, as they are receiving perfectly measured portions based on their weight as outlined on the side of the bag. I divide their food in half so they are being fed half in the morning, and half at night.

The food looks similar to an MRE, and you add warm water to rehydrate it. It starts off soupy but after it sits for a few minutes it becomes thick like stew with chunks of rehydrated meat, veggies, and fruit.

I've never seen the dogs wag their tail over their food before we started Humankind food for dogs.
Buddy is grain intolerant so it is important that his food is grain-free. Humankind is a grain-free food, that is 100% Human Quality for dogs. Unlike the majority of pet foods which are “feed” grade, all ingredients and production processes for Humankind comply with the highest FDA regulations for human edible food set by the US government. It's the same quality of food you would find at the grocery store or restaurant. It also contains a clean label, meaning no by-products, artificial preservatives, meals, or fillers of any kind. Unlike traditional pet feed Humankind is not allowed to use 4D meat from dead, dying, diseased, or disabled animals, due to the Human Quality approval. There are also no GMO ingredients, no animal digest or ingredients from China.

Humankind is rich in nutrients, and 99.8% of its protein comes from whole foods. It's minimally processed at low temperatures to retain natural nutrients. Studies show significantly more nutrients are digested from Humankind chicken protein compared to highly processed chicken meat, by-products meal, or corn meal found in many traditionally manufactured pet foods.
Look how happy Buddy is with his Humankind food for dogs.

You can find out more, and purchase it online at humankindpet.com for easy doorstep delivery. A 5 lb. bag that makes 18 lbs. when rehydrated costs $59.99, and a 10 lb. bag that makes 37 lbs. when rehydrated is $99.  Make sure to use SERENABAKES10 discount code at checkout to save $10 off your first order.

If it's not fit for human consumption, it is not allowed in Humankind. Making this the perfect food for our 4-legged kids.

  1. We had a Beagle in South Africa. Very lovable but he was also a bit dilly and hated being left alone even with another dog for company. He damaged so many things when we were out! We always tried to plan that someone was with him but at times it was impossible. Have a great week Diane

    1. Ours hates being left alone also.. He has gotten himself into trouble a few times, but it's less now then when he was a pup! It is impossible to always have someone with them. He ate my blinds one time, I'm sure to try and see out. Thanks so much Diane and I hope you have a great week also, Serena

  2. My daughter has a grain intolerant beagle too. Kelsey the beagle is 11 years old and still as full of mischief and stubborn as when she was a pup, she became a member of the family when she was 8 weeks old. She will eat anything in sight.
Your beagle looks to be quite a bit bigger from the picture, than Kelsey she is small, barely 13", 18 lbs and tri colored. They are so adorable we love Kelsey so much.
