Yogurt Marinaded Chicken on skewers keeps this recipe moist and full of flavor and perfect for the summer barbecue.

Yogurt Marinaded Chicken Skewers on a black rectangular plate.

We made Yogurt Marinaded Chicken Skewers the other night when it was way too hot to think about turning on the oven or even the stove top for that matter.

It's one of those recipes that's perfect for a change up from the traditional BBQ chicken and one of my easy go to recipes for the grill.

I made this one with greek yogurt, cilantro, garlic and ginger for a flavor explosion. The yogurt helps keep the chicken moist and full of flavor.

If you don't have plain greek yogurt feel free to use plain yogurt, I've used both over the years and they both turn out tasty.

Here's the recipe for these moist little chunks of chicken on a stick aka BBQ Yogurt Marinaded Chicken Skewers.

Blueberry Cinnamon Crumb Coffee Cake

Wednesday, July 9, 2014
A family favorite Blueberry Coffee Cake recipe filled with juicy blueberries and a brown sugar cinnamon crumble. Some of the brown sugar cinnamon topping is swirled through out the cake. Served warm or at room temperature for breakfast, brunch, later afternoon snack or dessert.

Homemade Blueberry Coffee Cake is a favorite for Christmas Brunch in our house but easy enough to make anytime. If you love this recipe you might also like Apple Coffee Cake and Cranberry Orange Coffee Cake.

This Blueberry Cinnamon Crumb Coffee Cake didn't last long in our house. Colt and the kids all decided they needed 2 pieces for dessert last night and we aren't talking little itty bitty slices. We are talking about full-sized huge slices Colt had cut.

As if Colt hadn't had enough coffee cake he was standing in the kitchen at 2 am eating out of the pan, I may or may not have joined in on a few bites..

I decided to add a cinnamon swirl to the middle of the cake to make sure there was a little bit of cinnamon crumb topping in every bite along with the blueberries.

It doesn't get much better than this my friends.

Pesto Tortellini Pasta Salad

Sunday, July 6, 2014
An easy Pesto Tortellini Pasta Salad to make that is delicious for dinner or an easy side dish. It's a favorite at summer parties, potlucks, and picnics. I used store bought tortellini to save time but made homemade pesto for the bright fresh basil flavor. Then added feta and sun-dried tomatoes. This Pesto Tortellini Salad is delicious served warm or cold making it great to make the night before.
