I have a serious love of bread and all things to do with cheesy goodness. Cheesy Garlic Bread definitely tops my list of those things.

Colt makes the best Cheesy Garlic Bread.

L.J. hates cheese or so he says but he always devours his slice of Cheesy Garlic Bread without a complaint and usually goes back for seconds or thirds.

I still have yet to figure out how his aversion to cheese works he seems to have all these rules to what kinds he likes and what kind he doesn't. His dislike of cheese never involves pizza or grilled cheese either.

Hmmm... I might have to take notes I think he might just be tricking me. That trickster!

Now on to the cheesy goodness!

Here's how Colt makes his Cheesy Garlic Bread recipe:

Garlic Butter in a white bowl for Cheesy Garlic Bread.

First make Garlic Butter by combining:
  • 5 tablespoons Softened Butter
  • 6 cloves Minced Garlic
Mix until well combined.

Garlic Butter Spread on French Bread.

Slice your favorite French Bread in half.

Divide garlic butter evenly between both halves of french bread and spread.

Shredded Mozzarella and Cheddar Cheese covering Garlic French Bread for Cheesy Garlic Bread.

Mix together:
  • 1 1/2 cups Grated Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 cup Grated Cheddar Cheese

Sprinkle each half with cheesy goodness mixture.

Sliced Cheesy Garlic Bread.

Bake in a 450 degree oven until cheese is bubbly, melted and cheese starts to brown about 4-8 minutes.

Great flavor of cheese and garlic.I put it on the correct temp and required time. I found that the cheese melted and browned but the bread itself was not crispy. Any suggestions?

Hi Pam! You could keep an eye on it and give it another few minutes in the oven. Thanks, Serena
