Purple Antioxidant Super Smoothie

Colt is still doing all the photography, cooking and cleaning around the house since by body hasn't fully recovered from the accident. 
This morning he was up making what was discussed the night before has a Green Machine Super Smoothie but he did what he did best and made a Purple Antioxidant Super Smoothie. 
It passed the kids with flying colors and I think he took another rock'n picture, if I do say so myself.
We received a huge shipment of Chobani Greek Yogurt last week and if you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you saw my lovely surprise. 
Colt's been doing all the shopping since I can't drive and was a little surprised to come home from my physical therapy appointment to find 8 containers of different Chobani in the fridge. 
Lorna was sweet enough to unpack the box when it arrived. I'm sure she was a little disappointed it wasn't something more exciting like new clothes from Nordstoms but who can blame her?
This smoothie is packed with so many favorite super foods like:Blackberries, Blueberries, Strawberries, Kale and a scoop of Spirulina Algae. 
A super boost to any morning! 

Gather Chobani Vanilla Non Fat Greek Yogurt, Blackberries, Blueberries, Strawberries, Banana's, Mango, Kale, Spirulina Algae Powder and Coconut Milk.
I buy my Spirulina Algae Powder in the Organic Bulk Dried Herb Section at my local grocery store but most health food store will carry it too.
 If your taking medication make sure it won't interact with anything you're taking and check with your Doctor first like with all supplements.
 I found out the hard way a few weeks back to make sure to read the precautions on the side of the medication bottle carefully, one early Sunday morning I indulged in half a grapefruit along with some eggs so I could take my medication. I had such a ripe roaring headache and my hips and shoulders were in such a state of spasms I took the medication only to realize about 3-4 minutes later that there was a big WARNING DO NOT TAKE WITH GRAPEFRUIT. I spent the next 10 minutes on the phone with the pharmacist explaining to me I wasn't going to die this time but no more eating grapefruit until I'm no longer taking the medication, needless to say I haven't enjoyed a grapefruit since. 
Phew.. Survived another close call! 
Add all the Fruit, Kale and Spirulina Algae to the blender.
Top with yogurt and coconut milk.
Blend until nice and smooth and lump free.

Purple Antioxidant Super Smoothie. Blackberries, Blueberries, Strawberries, Banana's, Spirulina Algae and Kale make this one tasty treat.

Yield: 5 Servings
  • 1/2 cup Blackberries, Frozen
  • 1 cup Blueberries, Frozen
  • 1 1/2 cups Strawberries
  • 2 whole Banana's, Peeled and Sliced
  • 1 whole Mango, Peeled and Diced
  • 1 tablespoon Spirulina Algae Powder, Optional Make Sure To Consult Doctor Like With All Supplements
  • 1 cup Kale, Packed
  • 1 cup Chobani Non Fat Vanilla Greek Yogurt
  • 1 cup Coconut Milk, Cold
Cooking Directions
  1. Place everything in blender and blend until smooth and lump free.


  1. What a yummy way to start the day! Might just try it. :)

  2. I tried this excellent smoothie, as an added bonus try adding a 1/2 cup of rolled oats into the blender for extra fiber and nutrients.
