Homemade Caramel Apples

Wednesday, October 13, 2021
Learn how to make delicious Homemade Caramel Apples from scratch with easy to follow instructions to make homemade caramel for dipping the apples.

Caramel Apples with a twig stuck in them for a handle on a piece of parchment paper.

Caramel Apples are another fall favorite since the apples are in season and Halloween is just around the corner. Wouldn't these be perfect for a party with some Caramel Corn?

I'm not sure how this all happened but we have been all about the caramel in our house lately and there's no better way to enjoy caramel then smothered over a Granny Smith Apple. I love the tart crisp apple meets the sweet salty caramel.

The best part about caramel apples is the possibilities are endless when it comes to decorating with the kids. The kids had used some harvest colored M&M's to decorate the apples after they set up this time.

A little fleur de sel salt sprinkled over the top would be divine or a little drizzle of some dark or white chocolate is heavenly. Dip in nuts, coconut, chocolate chips, if you dream it you can have it.

Here's how you make caramel for apples:

I can't believe it's November already and Thanksgiving will be creeping up on us really quick.I figure there's no better way to kick off the start to November than with Apple Dumplings in Caramel Cinnamon Syrup.

If you've never had Apple Dumplings your missing out! It's a flaky tart apple turnover slowly cooked and basted in a caramel cinnamon sauce to leave a sweet coating on the outside of the crust.

Apple Dumplings are a great alternative for Thanksgiving if your looking for something a little different than traditional apple pie.

If your needing a life changing experience make sure to serve these bad babies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with the cinnamon caramel sauce from the bottom of the pan.
It's life altering.

Caramel Dutch Apple Pie

Slice of Caramel Apple Pie with Crumb Topping on a dessert plate.

Caramel Dutch Apple Pie was long over due for a new pic. It's a family favorite and a staple at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Apple Pie with a Crumble Topping never lasts long and I almost always make 2 but you can easily cut the recipe in half if you aren't feeding a small basketball team like our house.

I usually hide a piece or two to enjoy for breakfast the next morning.

I'm just a bit naughty like that sometimes.

I love Apple Puff Pancake or any Puff Pancakes for that matter!
I could eat one form or another of Puff Pancakes every morning for the rest of my life and feel totally satisfied. I can attest to this only because when I was in 4th or 5th grade Granny made me Puff Pancakes pretty much every morning and never once did I grow tired of there deliciousness.
This time I baked the apple into the Puff Pancakes out of sheer laziness.
The sides of the puff pancake don't rise as much with the apples baked inside as traditional puff pancakes but the taste is still totally amazing and it does rise gorgeously.
I also love to keep dishes to a minimum in the morning time because:
1. Who likes to do dishes? Not me!
2. I think we have a dirty dish ghost in our house, every time the sink is clean and empty he magically appears to refill it.
3. I love to cook but hate dirty dishes.
4. I super de duper hate dirty dishes. Enough said!
Alright I know you get the point, sorry I got a little carried away again.
I can't wait to make these again soon, they're defiantly one of my all time favorites!
