With time seeming to fly by I thought I should share my recipe for Herbed Goat Cheese Spread before I blink, and the holidays are over! We love adding it to our Charcuterie platter. Our favorite way to enjoy it is spreading Herbed Goat Cheese Spread on crackers, or toasted baguette, and then covering with our favorite toppings. It's creamy, tangy, and delicious.
A good goat cheese should taste tangy and not overly gamey. I used cream cheese in the Herbed Goat Cheese Spread to add a creaminess perfect for spreading. You can use whatever herbs you prefer, or have available. On this occasion I chose chives, rosemary, and thyme, but dill also makes a wonderful addition.
Beat together 4 ounces Room Temperature Cream Cheese, 2/3 cup Goat Cheese Crumbles, 1 tablespoon Chopped Fresh Chives, 1 teaspoon Chopped Fresh Rosemary, 1 teaspoon Fresh Thyme Leaves, 1/4 teaspoon Granulated Garlic, 1/4 teaspoon Salt, and Pepper to taste.
Beat until light and creamy. Herbed Goat Cheese Spread can be refrigerated up to a day, until ready to use.
Herbed Goat Cheese Spread makes a wonderful addition to your next Cheese and Meat Platter. The creamy, tangy spread pairs well with sweet and strong flavors.
