Slow Cooked Pork Carnitas Tacos

Tuesday, January 16, 2024
Pulled Pork Carnitas are a favorite way to cook a pork shoulder until tender and juicy in Mexican seasonings with citrus juice to brighten the flavor until it just pulls apart. Pork Carnitas are a favorite filling for pulled pork tacos, burritos, nachos, and enchiladas.

Pork Chops With Apples

Friday, October 28, 2022
Tender Pork Chops with Apples, sage, rosemary, and garlic and baked with apple cider makes a delicious fall dinner recipe. The pan sauce from baking the pork chops is a must for drizzling over the top when serving.

What a better way to celebrate the changing of the seasons than with Pork Chops with Apples, a true fall favorite.

I made these last week as the temperature here seems to be plummeting at night down to the 50's and I was ready to rejoice in the cool weather.

The best part of the whole dish is the pork and apples infuse each other with a fabulous flavor combined with the herbs sage, rosemary and garlic.

I mean who doesn't like pork chops and apple sauce? Think Peter Brady from the Brady Bunch. If you haven't seen that Brady Bunch episode use good old google and look it up! You'll be glad you did. Then jump on the pork chop band wagon and treat your self to a tasty treat!

We enjoyed this with twice baked potatoes but it is really divine with Skinny Mashed Yams.

Balsamic Pork Pot Roast

Wednesday, July 25, 2018
Balsamic Pork Pot Roast recipe makes a fork tender pork should for the perfect comfort food. The gravy is amazing over mashed potatoes and veggies from Serena Bakes Simply From Scratch.

Balsamic Pork Pot Roast is so tender, and flavorful the meat just falls apart. Just like the beloved Beef Pot Roast but possibly a little better, the jury is still out on that, but oh man is it good!

It's the perfect use for a cheap cut of pork like Pork Shoulder or Boston Butt.

I had purchased a whole Pork Shoulder awhile back because the price was right and only needed half to make Slow Cooked Bourbon Peach BBQ Pulled Pork.

I've patiently been waiting for the weather to cool to make this for you and I strongly suggest some Cloverleaf Dinner Rolls or French Bread Dinner Rolls for sopping up the gravy..

It was so good the family was fighting over leftovers to bring to school and work. In the process they forgot about Mom and took all the gravy.. The story of motherhood.

The next time I'll make sure to hide some leftovers down in the back of the veggie draw, no one will ever think to look there!

Here's how to make this lusciously moist, flavorful Balsamic Pork Pot Roast:

Cheesy Pork Chop Potato Casserole

Cheesy Pork Chop Potato Casserole Recipe

I broke down and started the oven the other night to make Cheesy Pork Chop Potato Casserole, because we ran out of briquettes to barbecue, and comfort food was calling my name.

LJ told me about 3 times Cheesy Pork Chop Casserole tastes like Christmas dinner! I'm assuming it's the Potatoes Au Gratin I usually make around the holidays he's referring to, but I don't think I've ever seen that kid so excited about food!
Actually the whole family was beyond content and dibs started going around the table on the leftovers for lunch the next day.

This recipe for Cheesy Pork Chop Casserole combines Potatoes Au Gratin, with Fried Pork Chops, with plenty of extra Cheesy Sauce, for smothering over the top of your pork chop.

It's comfort food at it's finest, and sure to be a family favorite.

Crock Pot Baby Back Rib Sandwiches in Homemade BBQ Sauce

Crock Pot Baby Back Rib Sandwiches in Homemade BBQ Sauce

Since we've been friends for sometime now I figure I probably should share these Crock Pot Baby Back Ribs in Homemade BBQ Sauce and if your feeling a little extra saucy like us you can eat them between a crusty bun with a few dill pickle chips and some sliced red onion.

They are soo good and soo messy but a girl needs a reason every now and then to lick the sauce off her fingers.

These are perfect for that excuse!

I promise the man sitting next to you won't care your smothered in bbq sauce he'll be too busy lick'n his fingers or trying to lick yours..

Yes these are that good!

If your lucky he might just be so dang smitten he'll wash the dishes too but I can't make any promises in that department.

Slow Cooked Bourbon Peach BBQ Pulled Pork Recipe

Wednesday, September 11, 2013
Slow Cooked Bourbon Peach BBQ Pulled Pork is a family favorite easy crock pot recipe that's loaded with so much flavor.

Slow Cooked Bourbon Peach Bbq Sauce Pulled Pork Recipe is a favorite easy crock pot sandwich that's great for tailgating from Serena Bakes Simply From Scratch.

I have a love for all pulled meat. I don't know what it is but something about juicy meat cooked long and slow in a sweet and tangy sauce piled high on a bun always calls my name. This was one of those recipe that was running through my mind when I wanted to sleep or maybe it was really just a dream and I thought I was awake. Then it kept popping in my head over the next few days and I knew I had to make it and oh boy am I thankful I did..

I've been trying to plan more crock-pot meals to help ease the dinner time burden. Our afternoon's have been filled with a lot of appointments, leaving us in a dinner time rush with the kids back to school.

Slow Cooked Bourbon Peach Bbq Pulled Pork is a perfect fix it and forget it dinner.

I started the pork in the morning as the kids were headed off to school and by the time we came home from the chiropractor it was done and the house smelled divine. The sweet peach sauce with a hint of bourbon and a little chipotle peppers made a perfect sauce to infuse the pork. Sweet but tangy with a touch of heat. A perfect end to a busy day!
