The BEST Blackberry Cobbler recipe ever is so easy to make from scratch for a favorite summertime dessert. 6 Pantry staple ingredients and blackberries is all you'll need to make this delicious easy cobbler recipe. Blackberry Cobbler is one of my favorite ways to use frozen berries during the winter.

Cobbler makes a delicious alternative or addition to Pie for the Holidays for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Other Cobbler Recipes you might love are Blueberry Cobbler, Caramel Apple Cobbler, and Easy Peach Cobbler.

Blackberry Cobbler is always a favorite use of all the wild blackberries that are in season right now.

The kids have been out picking blackberries and Lorna made this delicious Blackberry Cobbler recipe last week to help Colt with dinner.  Colt captured some wonderful pictures not knowing I had already published this recipe in the very early months of the blog.

What a blessing it was.

I think the pictures turned out gorgeous, and a perfect time for a recipe update.

Blackberry Cobbler is super easy to make, always turns out delicious and comes from my dear friend Rachelle.  It's the absolute BEST Blackberry Cobbler recipe. The boys couldn't believe Lorna had made this all on her own and she had such a feeling of accomplishment.

I've known Rachelle since my freshman year of  High School. She was our neighbor, and would have me over for dinner many nights, since my Father usually worked grave yard shift.

I also babysat her two oldest daughters when they were wee little ones.  Now her oldest Ashley has the most adorable little boy herself.

Rachelle is an incredible woman, amazing cook, photographer and is a truly genuinely kind person. She has touched my life in many ways over the years, and I am so thankful every day for our friendship.

Just don't forget a scoop of vanilla ice cream.. Here's how to make Homemade Blackberry Cobbler:

Easy Blueberry Cobbler from scratch can be made with fresh or frozen blueberries and takes about 10 minutes to assemble. It's made with pantry staples and is as easy to make as the cake mix cobbler recipes you might have seen.

I've been craving blueberries lately, and had some frozen blueberries in the freezer calling to be made into dessert, so I decided to whip up a Blueberry Cobbler last night.

Blueberry Cobbler is one of those desserts that everyone loves but is super simple to make from scratch. It takes around 10 minutes to assemble, which is always a win in my book, and never lasts long!

Whenever I enjoy anything with blueberries it instantly takes me back to childhood, and Granny's kitchen. She had blueberry bushes in the backyard, and usually an ample supply of frozen blueberries in the freezer. In the summer we would go to the blueberry farm to stock the freezer for the year. Granny was always making something with blueberries, and her supply seemed endless.

If she was still here today I would have taken her over Blueberry Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream last night, because I know she would have loved it as much as we do!

This Blueberry Cobbler is based on the Blackberry Cobbler Recipemy friend Rachelleshared with me!

By far one of my favorite desserts with a scoop of vanilla ice cream,  and perfect for summertime barbecues, picnics, and potlucks!

Peach Raspberry Almond Cobbler

Peach Raspberry Almond Cobbler

As Colt, and I wondered through the store the other night planning dinner, we stumbled into all the gorgeous fresh organic peaches in the produce section and decided to make a Peach Raspberry Cobbler.

Peach Raspberry Almond Cobbler with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream was calling our name.

The peaches are so very ripe right now that the filling requires very little sugar, and the crust has a nice sweetness. Plus the almonds add a little extra crunch.

This recipe for cobbler is easy enough for even the youngest of helpers in the kitchen to be able to help out and feel accomplished, or in this particular case a husband willing to learn!

The cobbler topping was based on the recipe for Blackberry Cobbler and is always a favorite in our house.

Apple Cobbler

Monday, March 31, 2014
Apple Cobbler  is a mix between apple pie and cobbler. Filled with tart granny smith apples, cinnamon, sugar and topped with a thick flaky crust thats a cross between pie crust and a biscuit.

Other Apple recipes we can't get enough of are Apple Crisp, Granny Smith Apple Pie, Apple Coffee Cake, and Apple Dumplings.

Apple Cobbler on a white plate with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

It's an apple pie, it's a cobbler, it's an Apple Pie Cobbler.

I spent all weekend trying to decide what to call this bad boy. It's a bit like a thick flaky pie crust top with a little bit of a fluffy biscuit underneath with lots of cinnamony apple goodness.

Colt and the kids just kept saying how amazing it is but still wouldn't help name the cinnamon apple deliciousness..

So we're just going to call it Apple Pie Cobbler, the best of both worlds with a butter cinnamon sugar topping..

Hello deliciousness!

Other then trying to name this little deliciousness we didn't seem to accomplish much of anything this weekend except a lot of loafing. We may or may not have been in PJ's until 2PM and by we I mean me and Colt. Hey don't judge you should try it out once in awhile, it was so nice.

Here's how we made this Apple Cobbler:

Caramel Apple Cobbler Recipe

Caramel Apple Cobbler Recipe serenabakessimplyfromscratch.com

As much as I love Apple Pie this Caramel Apple Cobbler hits all the right spots this time of year. I loaded tart Granny Smith Apples with plenty of cinnamon and Homemade Caramel, then covered it in a cinnamon brown sugar crunchy cobbler crust for the ultimate fall treat!

The one tip I have is while making Caramel Apple Cobbler make sure to stick a cookie sheet under the pan, just in case it drips. I thought I would be ok but ended up almost smoking out the house from the spill over! Our poor sheltie Bell was doing circles around the house, I'm sure she thought it was burning down, and when Colt opened the kitchen window I saw the neighbor dart across his lawn, I'm pretty sure to make sure our house wasn't on fire! Luckily all was well, it just happened to be a few drips in the bottom of the oven, and the cobbler still tastes AMAZING!

Caramel Apple Cobbler is part of the 30 Day Recipe Challenge I do with some of my blogger friends! We all vote on an ingredient, and then develop a recipe using that ingredient, this month was Apples. Please make sure to check out all the other delicious recipes below the instructions.

Strawberry Rhubarb Cobbler

Friday, April 20, 2018
Strawberry Rhubarb Cobbler recipe is super simple to make and no rolling required from Serena Bakes Simply From Scratch.

I went in search of rhubarb a few weeks back to make this Strawberry Rhubarb Cobbler, but it was too early. So when Colt spotted rhubarb at the grocery store last week he lit up like a kid in a candy store, and reminded me of my promise to make him a Strawberry Rhubarb Cobbler.

This is such an easy recipe and the original comes from a very long time close friend Rachelle. I go into a little more detail about our friendship in the Blackberry Cobbler Recipe. It's one of those keeper recipes that you will always cherish.

Its a long time favorite recipe in our house and I hope it becomes one in yours.

Peach Cobbler Recipe

Easy Peach Cobbler recipe from scratch is a family favorite dessert.

Easy Peach Cobbler Recipe is perfect for dessert from Serena Bakes Simply From Scratch.

Peaches are at their peak of perfection at the moment, and I couldn't think of a better way to use up the bounty of sweet juicy peaches than a Easy Peach Cobbler.

There is a lot of different variations to Peach Cobbler some are made more like a pie. Some have a biscuit or dumpling style topping. Sometimes the filling peaks through the topping, and sometimes it's completely covered.

This cobbler is so easy to make. The fruit is completely covered for the most part with a crispy crunchy sweet crust, but is soft and buttery underneath.

It's about as easy to make as the recipes using a cake mix. It uses basic kitchen staples that most cooks already have on hand.

Here's how it's made...

Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp

Wednesday, April 15, 2015
The best easy Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp recipe is a spring time favorite dessert.

Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp

I've made this recipe for Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp a million times since I first shared it 4 years ago but it always ends up devoured before I can take a picture so I finally fought off the family to take a new pic.

Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp is Colt's all time favorite dessert and the way straight to his heart.

The minute Strawberry Rhubarb season hits the family starts requesting it for dessert. Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp is covered with a delicious vanilla infused streusel topping making it a favorite with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

It's so easy to make with very little work so it makes a regular appearance on our table this time of year while the rhubarb and strawberries are at their peak.

I know you'll love this recipe as much as we do!

Pear Crisp

Sunday, October 13, 2019
Pear Crisp Recipe is easy to make dessert recipe! A favorite for Thanksgiving or Christmas with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! So easy to make from Serena Bakes Simply From Scratch.

Have you ever had or made Pear Crisp?

It's so good, and I think a rather neglected fall dessert. It's rather close to my favorite Apple Crisp Recipe with a few changes.

I cut back on the sugar with the pears, since pears are so sweet, and I still added some lemon juice. It helps prevent the pears from browning, and also brightens the flavor of the filling.

Pear Crisp has all the flavors of Fall with nutmeg, ginger, vanilla and of course plenty of cinnamon in both the filling and crumbly crisp topping.

A hearty scoop of vanilla ice cream or maybe even Homemade Caramel Swirl Ice Cream and a drizzle of Caramel Sauce if I'm really looking to dress it up, and you're guaranteed to be in dessert heaven.

Here's how I make one of our favorite fall dessert recipes Pear Crisp.

Blueberry Crisp

Friday, June 30, 2017
Blueberry Crisp is an easy to make recipe. Perfect for dessert. Great with frozen or fresh blueberries making this a year around favorite from Serena Bakes Simply From Scratch.

I had a giant bag of frozen blueberries needing to be used so I decided to make a Blueberry Crisp, but fresh can always be used.

Frozen blueberries were a staple in my Granny's freezer growing up. I remember going to pick berries in the summer to stock the freezer.

She would make Blueberry Pies, Blueberry Syrup for Pancakes, Blueberry Muffins, and of course an occasional Blueberry Crisp throughout the year with her frozen stash.

The blueberries are so naturally sweet, and it's so simple to make. It has a generous amount of crunchy crisp topping to go perfectly with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.

To me it just wouldn't be summer without Crisp and Cobblers.

Best Apple Crisp Recipe

Saturday, March 18, 2023
Apple Crisp is a fall favorite recipe that graces our table often. It's simple enough to make that even those that don't bake can make a truly amazing dessert. I've been told it's the BEST Apple Crisp and favorite on the dessert table for Thanksgiving and Christmas as an alternative to apple pie, but easy enough dessert for any night of the week.

Apple Crisp is one of those recipes that always reminds me of childhood memories of my Great Grandparents house. It was a staple dessert at all family functions.

As a kid whenever we went to a large family gathering there was always an amazing Apple Crisp on the dessert table waiting to be devoured.

This recipe for Apple Crisp is easy enough to make make any night of the week, but still a favorite for the Thanksgiving and Christmas dessert table. It's simply the best!

I used a combination of Granny Smith and Braeburn apples in this crisp. I've used Pinova Apples in the past and love them equally. They are a little harder to come by sometimes.

I find using a blend of apples gives the filling a nice depth of flavor from the sweet and tart apple combination along with plenty of cinnamon, and a little vanilla for warmth. The lemon juicy adds a brightness to the flavor, and really brings the crisp together.

The crisp topping is sweet, but not overly sweet, and extra crunchy to compliment a large scoop of ice cream.

I know you'll love this recipe for the Best Apple Crisp as much as we do!

Blackberry Buckle

Wednesday, April 17, 2019
Blackberry Buckle is known as a buckle because the large amount of blackberries in the buttery cake mixture causes the top to buckle when they cook down. The top of the cake is covered in a delicious Coffee Cake style crumb topping.

Blackberry Buckle is a favorite cake that is the perfect recipe to make for dessert from Serena Bakes Simply From Scratch.

Blackberry Buckle is a perfect cake recipe to make using all those summer ripe blackberries.

It's a light cake loaded with tons of ripe blackberries, a hint of cinnamon, vanilla, and light crumb topping.

It's a favorite in our house as dessert for breakfast, brunch, camping or a sweet treat to bring to a friends for a get together.

You can never go wrong with Blackberry Buckle, it lasted less than 24 hours in our house, and Colt was already requesting I make it again.

To me that's a sign of a good thing!

Cranberry Orange Coffee Cake

Saturday, November 21, 2015
Cranberry Orange Coffee Cake with Brown Sugar Crumb is a favorite fall dessert. This Cranberry Cake recipe is a favorite for Thanksgiving and Christmas! It's also great for brunch from Serena Bakes Simply From Scratch.

I surprised Colt and the kids with this Cranberry Orange Coffeecake With Brown Sugar Crumb the other day to let them know just how thankful I am for them.

It's a favorite Fall dessert recipe and Cranberry Cake recipe for Christmas morning.

Colt even brought a few slices into work to share.

It happens to be a favorite in our house with the lightly sweetened airy spiced cake filled with little bites of bursting cranberries, flecks of orange zest and plenty of crunchy brown sugar crumb for the perfect balance of holiday flavor.

The last few years I have really tried to remember to be thankful everyday for my family, our health, a warm house and a roof over our head.

I am so thankful to have spent so much of my childhood with my Grandparents learning what life was like before cars and televisions.

Growing up Granny had shared pictures of her family's horse and buggy they used to transport produce to the market. It was always a great reminder to be thankful for modern day transportation.

Life can become so busy it's easy to forget how lucky we are to have clean running water and Internet.

I don't think life is ever easy, but I think when you take time to give thanks it makes what you have in your life so much more fulfilling.

For me I am Thankful to have had a day where I could make this Cranberry Orange Coffeecake and a husband who spends his lunch hour with me on the phone.

I'm thankful for each of my kids because they each teach me something new everyday.

I love how unique they are!

I am Thankful for each day I have and to be able to share the recipe for this delectable cake with you.

What are you thankful for this holiday season?

I am definitely thankful to share how to make this Cranberry Orange Coffee Cake with you.

Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Angel Food Cake

Wednesday, April 27, 2016
Angel Food Cake filled with Strawberry Cheesecake is an easy to make and pretty dessert recipe.

Angel Food Cake Stuffed with Strawberry Cheesecake is a pretty dessert recipe from Serena Bakes Simply From Scratch.

Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Angel Food Cake is a heavenly dessert that combines two of my favorite summertime treats into one! It's so very good!

This recipe came about because I've been participating in a 30 Day Recipe Challenge with a group of other bloggers, and this months theme just happens to be strawberries.

The light Angel Food Cake actually makes the perfect vessel for stuffing with Strawberry Cheesecake. As if the Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Angel Food Cake wasn't enough, I used lightly sweetened whip cream to cover the cake for the perfect finish.

The Angel Food Cake can be made the day before for easy assembly. The hardest part for me was cutting a straight line across the top.. Ha..Ha.. I always fail at cutting a cake perfectly in half except for this time when I only wanted to cut about a 1/3 of the way down, but I still think it's pretty even if it's not perfect! Besides taste is what really matters and I promise you it's d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s!

Here's how I make Angel Food Cake Stuffed with Strawberry Cheesecake:

Tara from from Noshing With The Nolands had sent a message awhile back after she had a reader who had made my Banana Crumb Muffins I had shared on her site a few years back, and loved them so much she asked for a Peach Crumb Muffin recipe.

It's my all time favorite peach muffin recipe. A soft tender cake like muffin with a coffee cake like crumb. They are a favorite way to start the day with my morning cup of coffee or tea.

Between the perfectly ripe peaches on the counter, and Tara's request I knew I had to share the recipe.
